Lymphoma Management Course – how to join & troubleshoot GoToWebinar
We know some healthcare professionals can experience difficulties joining GoToWebinar on workplace or hospital computers. This page is designed to help you get connected as smoothly as possible.
Please take a few minutes to review the guidance below before your session.
Before you join
• join early – we recommend logging in 10–15 minutes before the start time to allow time to fix any issues.
• use your confirmation email link – always join using the personalised link you were sent after registering.
• check your device in advance – test your setup here: https://joincheck.gotowebinar.com/
• if you are using a hospital or nhs computer, please note that some networks block webinar platforms or downloads. If possible, consider using a personal device or alternative connection (see below).
Ways to join the webinar
Option 1 – join in your web browser
• use the latest version of chrome, edge or firefox for the best experience.
• browser-based joining (no download) is available here: https://www.goto.com/webinar/join
• make sure pop-ups are allowed: https://support.goto.com/webinar/help/join-a-webinar-session
Option 2 – use the GoToWebinar desktop app (recommended)
• this is often more stable than using a browser.
• download in advance here: https://www.goto.com/download
Option 3 – join on a mobile device
• you can join using the goto app on ios or android.

If you are using a work or hospital computer
Some nhs or hospital systems may block GoToWebinar. If you have issues:
• try using a personal laptop, tablet, or phone instead.
• try a different internet connection (e.g. Home wifi or mobile hotspot).
• disconnect from vpn if you are using one.
• contact your it team in advance to check whether GoToWebinar is allowed

What to expect during the webinar
• the webinars are listen-only sessions – your microphone and camera will be switched off.
• you will see slides and hear speakers.
• you can type questions at any time using the “questions” box
• a q&a session will take place at the end - you can type questions which will be submitted to the webinar chair.
Troubleshooting connection issues
If you cannot join the webinar:
• check you are using your personalised link from your confirmation email.
• try a different browser (chrome or firefox recommended).
• try a different device (e.g. Switch from desktop to phone).
• clear your browser cache and cookies.
• restart your device.
• ensure your browser or app is fully updated.
• try joining in an incognito/private window.

If you still can’t access the session
We know how frustrating this can be, particularly on work devices.
If you are unable to join:
• please try again using a different device or connection
• contact your it department for help ahead of future sessions
• check your inbox for the recording the following day
Troubleshooting audio issues
If you can join but cannot hear anything:
• check your device volume is turned up and not muted.
• check your headphones or speakers are properly connected.
• make sure the correct audio device is selected in GoToWebinar

• refresh your browser or leave and rejoin the session.
• try switching between computer audio and phone audio if available.
• check your internet connection – a weak connection can affect audio.
If others can hear sound but you cannot, the issue is usually related to your device or network setup. You might like to ask your IT team for support ahead of the next session.

• try a different browser or device.
• ensure your network is not blocking video streaming.
Catch-up option
A recording of each session and pdf slides will be available the day after the webinar via a password-protected webpage for registered delegates. We will email the link to anyone who has booked through GoToWebinar
If you still need help on the night, please email the conferences inbox and we will do our best to assist, though please understand there is a limit to what we can do remotely, and you may need to ask your IT team for support.
