Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement
We support our community to share their lived experience to inform decision-makers and we advocate for the patient voice to be central to research projects and the development of new services.
What is PPIE?
PPIE (Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement) is where volunteers with lived experience work alongside professionals to shape health services and research, ensuring that these are guided by the experiences and priorities of the community.
Lymphoma Action nominates volunteers to represent both Lymphoma Action and the lymphoma community in a wide range of positions. We are very proud that our volunteers are currently doing brilliant work that is making a real difference. A few examples of current roles are:
- Chair of the Patient and Public Involvement Forum, National Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Audit
- Lymphoma patient representative on the Task and Finish Group of the Best Practice Timed Pathway project
- Patient representative, UK Blood Cancer Biobank Oversight Group
How you can get involved
We are so grateful to everyone who supports our PPIE work, whether that’s by providing their own unique viewpoint and perspective, sharing their experiences of lymphoma or spreading the word about the issues that affect our community.
