Newly Diagnosed Information and Support Session

This two hour session is open to anyone who has received a diagnosis of any type of lymphoma in the last couple of months.

At this support and information session, you'll meet others who have been diagnosed in the last couple of months and are in the early stages of coming to terms with finding out they have lymphoma and what it means for them. The meetings are two hours, fifteen minutes long, with a break halfway through.

The session covers some key issues at diagnosis, including what lymphoma is, different types and how they are treated, coming to terms with diagnosis and how it affects relationships, and what is means for you in the future. You'll have time to share your experience with other participants and get information and support from the facilitators. After the session, you'll have the opportunity to join one of our regular monthly online support meetings according to your type of lymphoma and treatment.

If you'd like to register, please read the following information, then click the red button below.

  • For this session, 'newly diagnosed' means you have had a confirmed diagnosis of any type of lymphoma since 1 May 2026.
  • To ensure all participants have the opportunity to share their experience and feelings, we limit the number at each session to ten.
  • Partners, family members and close friends (collectively known as 'carers') of someone who has received a diagnosis are not eligible for this session but are welcome to join one of our Family, friends and carers online support meetings.

If you would like more information or to discuss whether this session is the right option for you, please email to services.managers@lymphoma-action.org.uk

Our support meetings provide a safe, confidential place where people affected by lymphoma can talk to each other about their experience, express their thoughts and feelings, gain insight from connecting with others, and get support and information. The facilitators will listen, seek to understand your experience and help address any questions or worries you might have.

Meetings are hosted on Zoom, but you don't need a Zoom account or experience of using Zoom. You will need access to an internet-enabled device with a working microphone, speaker and webcam to take part.

To register for our support meetings, you must be aged 18 or over, resident in the UK and personally affected by lymphoma.
