Carers Week is an annual UK-wide awareness campaign. This year, it runs from 8 to 14 June 2026 and focuses on buildings carer friendly communities.
A carer friendly community is a place, space or organisation that values carers and does something practical to support them by identifying carers, listening and responding to their experiences so that they are not left to cope alone.
Although many people don't recognise themselves as such, if you look after a family member or a friend who has lymphoma without being paid for it, you’re taking on the role of a carer
No matter how much you love and care for your loved one, caring for someone with can bring a range of practical, physical, emotional and financial challenges and considerations.
This carers week, we want to remind you that we are here for anyone affected by lymphoma, including families, friends and carers of someone with a diagnosis. We provide information and support for carers through our:
- Helpline Services – contact us by phone, email or Live Chat.
- Online Support Meetings – a chance to meet others affected by lymphoma. We have a group specifically for friends, family and carers.
- Facebook Support Group – brings people living with lymphoma and family members and friends together.
- Buddy Service – offers an opportunity to speak with another carer.
- When someone close to you has lymphoma book – available to download, or you can order a printed copy free of charge. This book covers practical tips and emotional support and includes quotes from carers.
On the Lymphoma Action helpline, we offer information and support to anyone affected by lymphoma. Whether you have been diagnosed, or you're an unpaid carer, family member or friend, please remember that we are here for you.
