Facts about lymphoma:
- Every 28 minutes someone is diagnosed with lymphoma* in the UK. That’s more than 50 people a day or around 18,000 people every year.
- It is the most common blood cancer.
- Lymphoma affects people of all ages, but it is the most common cancer in young people aged 15-24.
- There are no known causes of lymphoma.
- Lymphoma is a cancer of the immune system and is a complex cancer, with more than 60 types.
- Symptoms of lymphoma include a lump in the neck, armpit or groin; feeling worn out for no reason; unexplained weight loss; excessive sweating at night; itching without a rash; frequent infections and fever.
*Includes Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and CLL.
