Annual Raffle Terms and Conditions

Lymphoma Action is committed to ensuring that any raffle/prize draw activity it conducts is operated in a secure, fair and socially responsible way.

• The cost of each ticket is £2 and payment must be made in full in advance of the draw date
• The deadline for returning ticket stubs and payment is 12 noon on Wednesday 9 December 2026 with the draw taking place on Thursday 10 December 2026.
• All proceeds from the raffle will be used by Lymphoma Action, registered charity number 1068395 (England and Wales) and SC045850 (Scotland), to fund the provision of vital information and support, and be the voice of our community to drive improvements in treatment and care.
• Participation in the raffle is to be made by returning ticket stubs in the post with appropriate payment – i.e. cheque or debit card. Tickets can be ordered through our website: lymphoma-action.org.uk/raffle.
• CAF vouchers or credit cards cannot be used as payment, and we would not advise sending cash in the post.
• Any payments received after the closing deadline of 12 noon on Wednesday 9 December 2026 will be treated as a donation.
• All raffle ticket payments and donations will be processed in line with Lymphoma Action’s Finance Procedures.
• Please keep your tickets to hand as proof of purchase.
• No tickets to be sold to or by a person aged under 18 years. If it comes to light that a ticket has been sold to or by a person under the age of 18, it will be disqualified from the raffle and the money paid for it will be refunded.
• Tickets must not be sold in the street or door to door.
• Entrants must be resident in Great Britain, i.e. England, Scotland and Wales only.
• Entry is open to all Lymphoma Action Volunteers but excludes: Lymphoma Action trustees and directors; Lymphoma Action employees or third parties directly involved in the administration or management of the raffle.
• Each supporter can purchase up to £120 worth of raffle tickets themselves and can sell additional tickets to family, friends and colleagues, who in turn can purchase up to £120 worth of raffle tickets themselves.
• Winning tickets will be drawn at random in the presence of a witness and prizes allocated in order of highest to lowest prize. Prizes are as follows: 1st Prize - £1,500 2nd Prize - £500, 6 x £50 Prizes.
• All prizes will be paid by cheque or BACS transfer depending on the winner preference and winners will be notified within seven days of the draw date.
• A list of the winning ticket numbers will be published on Lymphoma Action’s website.
• The result of the raffle is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Lymphoma Action accepts no responsibility for tickets that are lost, damaged, illegible, or from which the winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the raffle to be disrupted.
• Where Lymphoma Action is unable to contact a prize winner so that the prize remains unclaimed for six months, the Charity reserves the right to re-use that prize as it sees fit.
• Lymphoma Action reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.

Lymphoma Action is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 52725. We act in accordance with the Gambling Commission's license conditions.

• If you feel that your raffle related complaint has not been dealt with to your satisfaction you can refer the matter to an external resolution service – ADR Group: https://www.adrgroup.co.uk, 020 3600 5050.
• If you have concerns about your own gambling or that of someone you know, you can get advice from trained counsellors at the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. The helpline operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You can also visit the GambleAware website begambleaware.org for more information and advice. 

Self-Exclusion Policy

People, or carers of vulnerable people, can request self-exclusion from receiving Lymphoma Action Prize Draw marketing. The exclusion will be valid indefinitely until such time as Lymphoma Action receives written confirmation from the person or their carer, confirming that they agree to accept lottery or prize draw marketing material.  

In order to self-exclude, the individual or their carer will be asked to confirm to Lymphoma Action in writing, with a signature, that they wish to be excluded from the Charity’s raffles. This letter/email will be kept on file against the person’s record on Lymphoma Action’s database. 

Lymphoma Action will confirm the self-exclusion in writing to the person being self-excluded, along with recommendations of gambling support services.

Once someone has been self-excluded a note will be added to their record on our database and the database record will be set NOT to receive any marketing material surrounding the Charity’s raffle. 

A self-excluded individual will not be permitted to purchase tickets for the Charity’s raffle. Lymphoma Action staff must politely explain to the individual that we are obliged to comply with their self-exclusion and are unable to sell tickets to them without written confirmation rescinding the self-exclusion request. If they wish for us to send them a copy of their self-exclusion letter we will do so.
