Our walk along the river is largely unchanged, but we've made a few essential tweaks to give you even better views of London and an even better experience! We still start at Vauxhall City Farm and finish after the iconic Tower Bridge - with a wonderful new finish venue with room for everyone to rest, eat, drink, connect and celebrate.
You can download our map to see the 2026 route and we'll also send you a full event guide before the day. You get to choose your own pace, stopping as much as you like to enjoy your day in the capital. We've answered the most common questions about our Bridges of London walk in our FAQs. But if you have any other questions, please contact our team on 01296 619419 or bridges@lymphoma-action.org.uk - we'd be happy to help!
You are not alone. We're walking and crossing London bridges together. I see you and I hear you and you've got my shoulder to lean on.
I took part in the Bridges walk two days after receiving chemotherapy! We had a wonderful time. The information and support my family and I have received from the charity throughout this journey has been invaluable.
The route is 6 miles and crosses 8 London bridges, starting at Vauxhall City Farm and ending at our finish venue near Tower Bridge. Cross a bridge, walk to the next, cross the bridge and repeat! You can see a map of the route here and a guide and description will be provided to all walkers before the event.
Our registration desks open at Vauxhall City Farm at 9.30am and close at 11am. Walkers will set off in waves and those will be allocated when you register. The full address is Vauxhall City Farm, 165 Tyers Street, London SE11 5HS. It's a short walk from Vauxhall underground, train or bus stations, a 10 minute walk from Oval underground station and 20 minutes walk from Waterloo.
Be mindful that it is the UK, and the weather can be unpredictable! With that in mind, we suggest sun cream (with an appropriate SPF), waterproof layers, maybe a hat, some sugary snacks (haribo are ideal) and remember bring plenty of water and stay hydrated, even if it’s raining.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to undertake a 6 mile walk, such as trainers or walking shoes, comfortable socks and trousers etc. Although the temperature might be mild, consider layering appropriately to cool down / warm up as required.
Absolutely you can. You will not be alone on the day, you will be a part of one huge team! We also have a Buddy Walking group that you are very welcome to join. They will be heading off, with our colleague Gemma, from the starting line at 10.30am. Please email us on bridges@lymphoma-action.org.uk for further information on joining this special team.
Whilst there isn’t an official finish time, Lymphoma Action staff will be at the end venue until 4pm to present you with your finisher's medal. If you miss us on the day, simply email bridges@lymphoma-action.org.uk and we will send your medal in the post. You can take the walk at your own pace throughout the day.
We know that raising £150 can seem a challenge but please don’t worry, we have lots of support available to help you. Our friendly fundraising team will be on hand with top tips, support with setting up a fundraising page and lots of ideas for things to try. We also know that some of your loved ones won’t want to sponsor you until you’ve crossed the finish line and so we ask that you aim to finish your fundraising by the end of August. With all of this support, we find that most people exceed their expectations. We hope this has reassured you but if you'd like more help and support please email bridges@lymphoma-action.org.uk
There will be Lymphoma Action staff at the start and end venue, along with a handful completing the walk with you! We will also have volunteer marshals out on the course. Keep an eye out for their staff t-shirts if you have any questions on the day.
There are toilets available within Vauxhall City Farm at registration and at our finish venue. We do not have designated toilets on the route, but there are a number of public toilets that should be available for use.
You are welcome to bring your dog(s) along for the walk and they are very welcome at our start and finish venues. Please make an informed decision on whether to bring your dog after checking the weather on the day, particularly the predicted temperatures.
